Our former CMS Partners
We would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas!
What a year it has been for us all! We have found it difficult at times but God has blessed us in many ways too. We are particularly blessed to live in such a beautiful part of the country which we have been able to enjoy during times of lockdown, walking with our dog, Molly.
Paul was ordained as a deacon in September and in July we moved house from St Austell to Tresillian near Truro, to take up his new role as curate in the benefice of Probus, a group of 4 rural parishes. We have enjoyed settling in to life and ministry here, despite the challenges of getting to know a new community in the midst of the pandemic.
Christine is continuing to work at Truro Diocese in Giving and stewardship and has enjoyed the challenge of adapting to home working, running online training and meeting colleagues via zoom, but is looking forward to being able to get back out to churches before too long. She has also been getting involved with ministry in the benefice, particularly through leading worship together with the boys
Daniel gained a fantastic set of GCSE results in the summer and is now at Truro college studying Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. He is doing really well and enjoying the new challenge. He is also still enjoying drumming and climbing, going to a weekly youth climbing club. He and Isaac are still part of the church youth group back in St Austell.
Isaac is in year 10 and has stayed at Penrice school in St Austell, so has had to get used to a long bus journey! He loves his music and drama at the moment. He has become quite a good songwriter and enjoys singing with the county youth choir, his rock band at school and leading worship in church. He has also been doing a lot of busking and raised over £500 for Children in Need. Sadly the school production, in which he had a starring role, was cancelled because of lockdown but he was able to perform in a local panto, together with Christine, back in February
Wishing you a blessed 2021.
With love and blessings,
Christine, Paul, Daniel and Isaac. xxxx
