Why I go to Church

Alison Mayes

My family and I first came to St. John’s in November 2013 when we moved to the area. We were warmly welcomed by the congregation and immediately felt a sense of belonging. I have become involved with church life, helping at annual events, administering the Facebook page and becoming one of the leaders of Jigsaw Sunday school. My children enjoy the variety of activities aimed at families from Jigsaw, Messy Church and All Age services. One very memorable Christmas my husband and I starred as Mary and Joseph in the Messy Nativity with my son being the donkey and our baby daughter playing Jesus! It is important to us that our children have a Christian upbringing and we enjoy worshipping at St John’s as a family.
