At St. John’s we see the Memory Café as an integral part of our desire to reach out into all of the villages, towns and communities around us – you will be very welcome to join us. We begin and end the afternoon with teas, coffees, something to enjoy and the chance to relax and chat. In between we enjoy a range of activities, which have included crafts, flower arranging, sing-alongs, quizzes, bingo, beetle drives, storytelling, a magic show as well as puzzles and games and much more. We have also enjoyed a visit to Radstock Museum and hope to have another afternoon out some time soon.
We’re always on the lookout for new ideas to keep us entertained too and would welcome involvement from anyone in the community. This could be to use your talents to run a session for us or perhaps join the team of volunteers – we’re sure you’d enjoy our café as much as we do.
The Alzheimer’s Society
