We are very grateful to everyone who has supported Phase 1 of our New Life Project, which was completed in time for Christmas, and was very welcome given the recent cold weather!
Our Church Hall, dedicated by The Bishop of Bath & Wells in July 1990, required urgent work in 2025. The roof had deteriorated and was leaking in several places and the electric heating had become prohibitively expensive to run and was difficult to regulate. Jackson Dix re-roofed the hall and replaced the skylights, which were past their best and also leaking. In keeping with the drive to energy efficient heating, we have installed external air source heat pumps connected to internal air blowers. Together, these works will ensure our hall is dry, warm in winter, cool in summer and fit for purpose for many years to come.
Not least, many thanks to the team behind the scenes for their hard work in achieving this – it’s very much appreciated by us all. Do take a look at our gallery below, which includes some pictures of the hall from December 2007! (NB: Click on any picture in the gallery to see larger versions of each picture, complete with date captions).
Thank you for contacting us. We will endeavour to reply as soon as possible.
