In September of 2021, St. Vigor’s historic pipe organ was relocated to the Church of St. Paio in the parish of Requiexo, Aveiro, Portugal. Prior to its dismantling , organ builder Barthélemy Janus, just came in, sat down and played “Misericordias Domini” (The mercies of the Lord).
Please do enjoy Barthélemy’s recital below or perhaps a longer sung version by Cappella Victoria Jakarta, a church choir based in St. Therese of Lisieux Parish, Menteng, Jakarta. The choir was founded in 2005 by several of St. Therese’s young parishioners, and currently has singers from different parishes in Archdiocese of Jakarta and Bogor.
